Next Stop: The Middle East

It's still February and we're still just a few weeks away from our Spring Break.  Nonetheless, I'm already looking forward to our Summer Break.  I'll be heading to the Middle East.  I'll be spending about three weeks in Egypt and Jordan.

Before I go, I want to get some feedback about what my BOMLA students know about the Middle East.  What do you think of when you think about the Middle East?  What do you know about Middle East history?  What do you know about Middle East people?  What about the food?  What do you know about Middle East music, art or culture in general?  What about our national relations?  How does what's happening there impact our lives here in the U.S.?

So here's your chance to earn some house points.  The first twenty brothers to ask a question will earn 100 house points.  Make sure you state your name and house and make sure you read the previous questions so you don't ask the same question.

I'm also interested in what you think you already know about the Middle East.  So, I'll give you another 100 house points if you tell me something you already know about the Middle East.  But, I don't want you to just google up some facts.  I want to know what you already think you know about the Middle East.  So, don't worry about being right or wrong.  I'm curious to see what you currently think about this part of the world.  What have you heard in the internet, on TV or maybe you've even read something about the Middle East or just heard your parents or someone else talk about it.

Let's do it.  Let's get some house points!
