Don’t Call 911

Don’t worry. I’m not dead yet. I haven’t been able to access decent WiFi to upload my daily posts.  I’ll try to get everything uploaded by the end of the day tomorrow. In the meantime, here’s a video of the Abu Simbel Temple. You’ll want to watch the whole thing. When I enter, you will get a much better sense of the scale.

Catacomb in Alexandria

One of my most interesting stops in Alexandria was the catacomb. It was originally created for a single wealthy family that included a man, his wife and two children.  They later added tombs for over 400 others.

Egypt’s Most Famous Landmark

I began my first full day in Egypt by visiting the Famous great pyramids and Sphinx.

(Temporary Backup) Day One in Cairo

After resting a bit in my hotel, I went out for some dinner. On my way back to the hotel, I popped into a grocery store that had a news stand. Everything was in Arabic but, I bought one anyway. I’ll see what I can figure out. It seems this particular paper is controlled by the government and it can not always be trusted as an objective source.

The Journey Begins

I left Dallas this morning on Air Canada. As you can see, Canada still has masking requirements. That, however, is not the only thing that’s different. In Dallas we’re used to hearing announcements in both English and Spanish. Flying Air Canada and waiting for my connection here in Montreal, I’m also hearing announcements in two Languages.  To earn your house point, tell me what you think those two languages might be.
